I’ve done a little more on the first page and am l.o.v.i.n.g. it!! I should have said in the last post that I started out gesso-ing some pages.  Then I used my watercolor pencils for a wash of color. (Maybe I did mention these two things…) Next, I added some acrylics in 4 sunny shades of yellow – lemon, banana, bright yellow, and sunflower.  More gesso… more yellow… then, my favorite new thing, I dropped a single drop of India ink and blew on it through a straw… here’s what I’ve got so far:

Off for more journaling/art!!

When I retrieved my mail after coming home from Vegas, I squealed with delight!

I received my first journal in the Round Robin.  Elena’s came all the way from Dallas Texas!  :)  (I live only an hour away.)

So now that we’ve settled back into our normal routines, I’ve sat down to begin my pages.  Last night, I gesso’d a page or two, in prep for some fun.

I’ve started one layer this morning with some watercolor pencils… love the before and after effects!  I *must* get some watercolor crayons soon!

I want more layers!!
